Japanese Civic who wishes to be a time attack car
The civic was only 100€ and did not start when it was bought. The engine wire harness was held together by hot glue and tape. The paint job was horrible, the previous owner tried to paint the car black with only two cans of spray-paint. Of course the end result was that only almost the frond end was painted and not prepped (good for me!)
The engine bay needed some cleaning badly.
Removed the engine to completely clean the engine bay and also to change a different engine in there.
All the bushings in the front got changed and the components were painted. The upper control arms were changed to camber adjustable ones.
In this picture the bumper and the hood are cleaned already from the spray paint. I used xylene and paint thinner to get the paint off.
After all the spray paint was removed the car was polished, to get of the imperfections that the thinners caused in the clearcoat.
After the DIY front splitter for ek civic was made the civic got some BBS style 5`s of course.
The look got lots of cleaner with the new wheels and tires.
Splitter seems to be working also as a underbody guard/skidplate
